Web3 technology is being hailed as the future internet and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Many believed cryptocurrencies would disappear by now, but services are expanding to include them. Web3 will be the same. Web3 doesn’t have an official definition, but it is built on the same blockchain technology as crypto and is fueled with cryptocurrency. Its success will likely be in part due to its popularity.

Web2 introduced targeted advertising, where privacy was a thing of past. Web3 allows users to remain anonymous while giving them more control over their data. There are pros and cons to any technology. Web3 can offer greater freedom, but also technological challenges and usability issues.

Moving to a Web3 experience

The same challenges from the current blockchain and crypto technologies will also affect gaming. Cost is one of the main challenges. Although blockchain technology was intended to lower costs, it has become an expensive technology and requires a lot of energy. Although there are some solutions, technology is still moving forward.

Scalability is another issue. It is staggering how much processing is required to make all these decentralized transactions possible. Technology is not up to the task of scaling. The user experience is another important aspect. It is difficult to access and use Web3 experiences. Multiple layers can create a learning curve that users may not have experienced before. It’s not as intuitive and natural as the Web2 we know and expect.

Additional drawbacks for gamers

Gamers also face other challenges, including a lack of legacy game history. Web2 and Web3 cannot transfer game history. This means that gamers will have to start over in a new world. There is no way to associate friends with worlds created in Metaverse. Web3 is still operating in its current silo. It is not ready for all of these new users.

With all the challenges facing Web3 developers and users, how can trust and reliability be improved in the Web3 gaming experience. What can be done to improve the user experience and increase confidence?

1. Web2 to Web3 Player Profile and History

This would encourage more gamers make the switch to Web3. This requires technology stacks, DevOps, and technology stacks to sync player profiles reputations and history from Web2 to Web3.

Web3 must continue to grow in popularity. This would require the transfer of all user information, including player profiles and records of game history, achievements in-game, and user-created material.

2. Web3

Create social networks

Steemit, a company, is trying to do exactly that. However it will take time for these networks to become popular enough to draw users away from more well-known platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

It is not integrated into a game marketplace with the current solutions. It is still too disconnected to all the options that social network users desire.

Imagine if you can create a robust gaming platform that integrates with a social networking infrastructure. If the technology can catch up, something like this may be enough to attract users.

3. Set up an online trust score

One of the greatest benefits of a gaming metaverse using blockchain technology is the trust that can easily be built and the ability offer additional deals or exclusive features. Developers can also offer players perks such as a badge or honor for high scores and achievements.

This could also translate into real-world perks.

” A strong score is a badge for honor in blockchain games and metaverse worlds. All the perks that come with it include priority access to top projects, membership clubs, higher loan rates, and other perks. Additionally, this could assist in the trustless-ness of transactions, whereby you have an objective gauge on the person you are transacting with,” says Matthew Ainscow, CEO of Avarta Biometric Credit Scoring Platform

How will we make the switch to Web3?

The short answer is that it will take time, patience, and ingenuity.

Web3 offers amazing opportunities for growth, change, and innovation. Web developers now have a whole new world available to them. Web3 presents many challenges, as we’ve seen. As we have seen, new needs are a constant source of inventions. Will developers rise to the occasion.

Both developers and users have a strong incentive. The top priorities are privacy and freedom, as well as the ability to monetize and reap the benefits of the data and content. The tech community is full talent so I am optimistic about Web 3. We will see many changes in gaming, finance and how we use the internet as technology improves and costs drop.
