‘Euphoria’ Star Jacob Elordi to Lead WWII Miniseries for Sony’s Curio Pictures
Euphoria star Jacob Elordi will be returning home to start his next TV project.
The Australian actor has signed up to star in The narrow Road to the Deep North ,, a limited series that was shot in Australia during World War II. Based on Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, the drama from Sony Pictures Television ‘s Curio Pictures was created.
Elordi will portray Dorrigo Evans, an Australian soldier who has a brief affair with Amy, his uncle’s young niece. This relationship sustains and haunts him throughout his darkest days as the reluctant leader among men held in a Thai-Burmese prison camp during World War II. The series is directed by Justin Kurzel True Story of the Kelly Gang and Shaun Grant. It is described as “an intimate character analysis, a depiction on both sides of war and a portrait about an unforgettable love story.”
Jo Porter, Curio Pictures’ managing director, said that Jacob Elordi is “amazing to join us on this project.” Jacob is a multi-layered actor capable of bringing strength, sensitivity, and charisma to the character of Dorrigo. This exciting team of creative powerhouses Shaun Grant and Justin Kurzel could not have a better team to bring this important novel alive .”

Curio Pictures was founded in February. It is based in Australia. They specialize in TV and film projects for premium platforms in Australia and abroad. Porter and Rachel Gardner, the creative director, will executive produce The narrow road to the Deep North together with Grant, Flanagan and Kurzel.
Elordi has credits on HBO’s Euphoria and Hulu’s Deep Water , writer Emerald Fennell’s forthcoming Saltburn movies. He also has credits on Netflix’s Kissing Booth movies. He’s also set to play Elvis Presley in Priscilla, Sofia Coppola’s biopic of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s wife, Priscilla Presley. Gersh, Nicky Gluyas Management and Viewpoint are the reps for Elordi.
