Yahoo added six new members to its board of directors, including Jessica Alba, founder and actress of The Honest Company, and Aryeh Bourkoff founder of LionTree.

Fouad ElNaggar is the CEO and former chief strategy officer at CBS Interactive. Michael Kives is the CEO and president of K5 Global. Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, and Katie Stanton is the founder and general partner at Moxxie Ventures.

“As Yahoo enters a new era, establishing a strong board of directors with strategic industry knowledge will drive greater growth and innovation. Jim Lanzone, Yahoo CEO, stated that the board would be able to help create and innovate for millions of consumers, advertisers, media partners, and media partners worldwide. “I look forward working with this group to continue creating and innovating for our millions of consumers, advertisers and media partners .”

The board appointment comes a year after Verizon sold Yahoo ,, along with AOL’s media assets to Apollo Global Management for $5B. While retaining a 10% stake, Lanzone joined Yahoo last September as its chief executive.

The six new board members will be joined by chairman Reed Rayman, Lanzone, and representatives from Apollo/Verizon.
