Jurassic World. Dominion Director Colin Trevorrow went out to bat Saturday for his Tyrannosaurus Rex. This was after a Twitter user complained that the dino wasn’t getting the respect it deserved.

In Dominion, which opened last weekend to No.1, a Therizinosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus rex team up to kill the ultimate bad dino, a Giganotosaurus. It seemed like all was lost in the final battle scene of the film when the T-Rex appeared dead. In true Jurassic Park fashion her eye opened and she was on. The T-Rex, Therizinosaurus and Giga kill each other.

This was an amazing moment for most fans, but not for all.

Actor Angel Rosario Jr. tweeted Trevorrow that he felt that the T-Rex had become second in the Jurassic Park storytelling. This, Rosario said, was wrong.

“Hey @colintrevorrow… you made the Rex look weak. Again. Get on it! It’s the face and voice of the franchise. Terrible. Although the Giga may have been strong, science has shown that the Rex was a stronger predator and stronger. I was very disappointed with your use of Rexy. #JurassicWorldDominion,” read Rosario’s post.

The director responded. It was perfect.

” I understand your feelings. Worth noting the T. Rex had an average lifespan of 28 years, so our Rexy would be near the end of her life in Dominion. Even at that age, she found the strength to rise up and avenge her own death, 65 million years later. Trevorrow stated via Twitter that sometimes revenge takes time.

Rosario seemed thrilled by the back-and forth.

“Got a response from the great @colintrevorrow about Dominion. Although there are conflicting opinions about the Rex…as an actor I’d love for you to collaborate on a project. Respect and admiration for you, sir. We hope to have the opportunity to talk about it face-to-face someday. #JurassicWorldDominion,” he wrote.

Jurassic World – Dominion is in theaters now.
