Missing rapper Theophilus London found safe, family says
Los Angeles Theophilus London, a rapper, has been found safe and sound. For months, disappearingA relative announced Wednesday night that he was naming a relative.
“We have found Theo. Mikhail Noel’s cousin, the rapper, said that he is safe and well. Posted on Instagram. “At this point, the family would appreciate prayers and privacy. Thank you all!!!”
The post did not provide any details about London’s location, whereabouts, or why he hadn’t contacted his family. Los Angeles police filed a missing persons report last week and asked the public for help in finding him.
CBS News asked questions about the post of the family by the Los Angeles Police Department, but they have not yet responded.
London’s friends and family had stated that they believed someone had last spoken to them in July in Los Angeles.
London, 35, was prolific on Instagram. His last posts were in July.
On Dec. 28, a Los Angeles Police Department news release stated that London was last seen in Skid Row in October and that his family had lost all contact with him.
The rapper was born in Trinidad and Tobago and was raised in Brooklyn, New York.
He was nominated by Kanye West for the 2016 Grammy for best Rap Performance for a featured spot on “All Day” with Paul McCartney.
London has collaborated often with West, now known as Ye. Ye produced and starred on “Vibes” 2014. London would often update Ye’s “Donda”, and “Donda 2,” on Instagram. He even claimed he was “promoted” to “take on media duties” for Ye’s month of February.
London has released three studio albums, “Timez Are Weird This Days”, “Vibes,” and “Bebey” in 2011. He was recently featured on Young Franco’s “Get Your Money” album, which was released in September, one month after he was last seen.
