Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Resurrects Fan-Favorite ‘Walking Dead’ Characters

Ryan Reynolds Maximum effort AMC Network’s Content Room partnered to create custom ads for The Walking Dead series finale which resurrects four fan-favorite characters.

Fans of the long-running series were shocked Sunday when their screens were filled by shots of Milton Mamet (Dallas Roberts), Andrea Harrison(Laurie Holden), Rodney, Joe Ando-Hirsh), Gareth (Andrew West), many years after they had died in the series.

The ads featured characters from Deloitte and DoorDash, Autodesk, Ring, and Reynolds himself appeared in one for MNTN, his advertising company.

Reynolds stated in a statement that ads should be entertaining. “The Walking Dead has sparked more cultural conversation than any other property in the past decade. We wanted to honor that by bringing back some characters from the dead in fun contextual ads. We were overwhelmed by AMC Networks’ Content Room support and the willingness of Ring, Deloitte and DoorDash to show a different approach.”

He said, “Ads can still be part of the cultural conversation as they once were.”

They just need a little more love, attention and mischief.”

Rodney orders takeout from DoorDash. He tells the driver to come nearer and says, “Don’t be afraid. I won’t bite,” Rodney tells DoorDash that he orders takeout from them and then tells the driver to come closer. The ad also included a line that said, “Everything in your neighbourhood, delivered right to your door.” Or pike.” Milton Mamet starred in an Autodesk advertisement where he introduced the first “grunt-powered” door handle.
